The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ostrava announces a selection procedure for the position of:

  • Key Project Worker

Expected Working Load:

  • 10% Part-Time Contract; Fixed-term contract for the duration of the LERCO project, Research program No. 7, until 2027 at the latest.

Expected start date:

  • March/April 2025 or as agreed.

Requirements:

  • University degree with an Ing. title, Ph.D. degree for more than 8 years
  • Habilitation or professorship - bioengineering
  • Advanced knowledge in the field of biosignal processing
  • Experience with applied research in healthcare
  • Active scientific and publication aktivity
  • EU Research level – R3

Job Description:

This is a new position filled in accordance with the terms of the Life Environment Research Center Ostrava (LERCO, Reg. No. CZ.10.03.01/00/22_003/0000003) project.

  • Participation in the planning of scientific activities within S3HA2
  • Collection and analysis of biosignals, including the use of advanced statistical methods and artificial intelligence
  • Creating software for biosignal analysis
  • Statistical evaluation of scientific data obtained within LERCO, Research program No. 7
  • Collaboration on the preparation of publications
  • Use of hardware and software resources intended for research activities within WP7 with a focus on machine learning and data processing
  • Presentation of research activities in the form of reports, lectures and independent publications

Language in Which the Selection Procedure Will Be Conducted:

  • Czech

The first round of the selection procedure will take place without the personal presence of the applicants, by assessing the materials provided by the applicants by the selection committee. Only selected applicants will be invited to the second round of the selection procedure.
