Characteristics of the Department of Dentistry

The Department of Dentistry provides undergraduate education in the Master's program in Dentistry. The department consists of academic staff members from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ostrava, as well as experts from the practice of the Oral, Maxillofacial and Facial Surgery Clinic at the University Hospital Ostrava and private dental clinics in the Moravian-Silesian region and wider surroundings.

The specialized teaching within the departments of the Faculty of Medicine takes place in specially equipped classrooms and laboratories. The extended part of the teaching takes place in cooperation with the Secondary Medical School and the Higher Medical Vocational School in Ostrava. Clinical laboratory practice teaching is conducted at the University Hospital Ostrava.
