AnotationThe aim of the project is to conduct health screening of people living in socially excluded areas (primarily in Roma settlements) in Slovakia in order to map the prevalence of priority infectious diseases (HIV, HAV, HBV, HCV, syphilis). Additionally, blood glucose and total cholesterol will also be tested. The screening will take place in the field in a mobile examination unit, in cooperation with healthcare workers and colleagues from Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. All tests will be performed using a single capillary blood sample to maximize acceptance of the examination and minimize the burden on the individuals being tested. Objective examinations will be complemented by the collection of demographic and medical history data.
