AnotationThe aim of the project is to map the perinatal palliative care in the Czech Republic, especially in perinatologic centers. The project concentrates on current knowledge of the topic by using systematic review. The comittee of the Czech Society for Palliative Medicine ČLS JEP determinates the standards of palliative care for the Czech Republic. These standards have defined issues in palliative care of both adults and children but the definition of issues in perinatal palliative care is missing. Perinatal palliative care consists of the neonates care as well as care of the parents or other relatives. The research will be focused on identification of the neonates and their parents needs and finding imperfections. The research will use the method of triangulation - a combination of qualitative research (interviews with parents) and quantitative research. The quantitative research will be using standardised questionnaire (NiPCAS) and will identify the main sources of problematic areas and weak points. Based on the discoveries the precautions to implementation of new care system in the perinatal palliative care will be suggested. The results of the research should improve the perinatal palliative care in the Czech Republic. The ambition is to apply the findings in practice.
