AnotationThe aim of the project of the Research and Development Center for Cell Therapy in Hematology and Oncology is to support long-term cross-sectoral cooperation by supporting partnerships between the University of Ostrava, a public research organization and four companies from the application sphere. A joint research and development center will be created, a new infrastructure together with new positions for researchers, which will focus on the use of cells in the treatment of hematopoietic cancer. Concentrating activities in one place which is already designed and partially equipped for a similar activity together with flexible management and horizontal sharing of knowledge will allow a unique interdisciplinary collaboration between project partner teams, which will reflect in the realization of research activities with clearly defined objectives in the field of application research. The project is organically linked to other projects of the applicant and partners (supported by Horizon 2020, TAČR, MSK, AZV etc.) and complements and develops them appropriately. The creation of a solid platform of cooperation and partnership between the research organization from the Ostrava agglomeration and the application sector will clearly benefit the region and boost competitiveness in both research and the highly innovative field of medical biotechnology.
