Job description
- The assistant professor assistant teaches in bachelor′s and master′s degree programs (including supervising and evaluating theses) and participates in their development.
- Subject to approval by the faculty′s scientific council, the assistant professor participates in the implementation of doctoral degree programs.
- The assistant professor is actively engaged in research and creative activities (primarily through independently solving complex research and development tasks, actively publishing in peer-reviewed journals or through other forms of publication in accordance with the requirements of the field and the standards for research and creative work at OU, actively participating in scientific conferences and professional meetings, and actively presenting the results of their creative work).
- Participates in fulfilling the university′s third mission, particularly through the popularization of creative work, by performing administrative tasks related to their activities, and within the framework of the university′s self-governance.
Qualification requirements – required
- A university degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related field.
- A Ph.D. degree.
- Teaching experience—at least 5 years of professional experience in the field with a focus on epidemiological methodology.
- Ability to conduct meta-analyses and systematic reviews.
- Previous experience in establishing and leading a research team.
- Previous collaboration with Cochrane and JBI centers.
- Proficiency in English.
- Excellent knowledge of the Czech language.
Qualification requirements – preferred
- Previous research experience qualifying the candidate to teach in a graduate program and supervise doctoral students.
- An H-index above 15.
