Viktor Szeder
David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California Los AngelesViktor Szeder is Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology, Neurology, and Neurosurgery and Director of the Interventional Neuroradiology Fellowship Program at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
As a co-investigator or principal investigator, he has participated in 39 clinical studies focusing on innovative treatments for cerebrovascular diseases, including endovascular treatment of brain and spinal disorders, imaging techniques, treatment of aneurysms, and ischemic stroke. He has received significant research funding, including support from the International Neurological Science Fellowship Program of the NIH/NINDS.
Professor Szeder’s publication record is extensive and includes contributions to recognized reference works such as Bradley’s Neurology in Clinical Practice and Stroke: Pathophysiology, Diagnosis, and Management. He serves on the editorial boards of several prestigious peer-reviewed journals. For his scientific achievements and presentations, he has received numerous awards, including the Presley-Zeiss Postdoctoral Fellow Slide Presentation Award and the Scientific Exhibit Summa Cum Laude Award at the ASNR Annual Meeting.
He is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in neurology, radiology, and interventional neuroradiology at UCLA. He also serves as a research mentor for undergraduate students, medical students, residents, and fellows at Columbia University and UCLA. In recognition of his dedication to education, he was elected to the AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha) National Honor Medical Society.
