AnotationDelirium is described as a qualitative disorder of consciousness and changes in recognition abilities that will develop over a short period of time. Above all, assessment tools are used to determine delirium CAM, CAM ICU, Nu DESC, DOS (van Velthuijsen et al., 2016, s. 976). There is no standardized screening test available in the Czech language for diagnosis of delirium in intensive care settings (Mitášová et al., 2014, 258). Delirium assessment by clinical judgment alone is not entirely objective, and it can easily be misdiagnosed. The use of delirium assessment tools is the best step to quality nursing care in patients with delirium. The aim of the project is to determine which of the three standardized measuring tools delirium evaluations (Confusion Assessment Method (CAM), Delirium Observation Screening Scale (DOS), Scale Nursing Delirium Screening (Nu-DESC) is most suitable for the clinical environment ? traumatology (patients after trauma of the locomotive apparatus in the treatment of operative - after general anesthesia and conservative) based on psychometric characteristics (validity, reliability). The outcome will be the determination of the most appropriate standardized screening test to be used to diagnose delirium in conditions of standard traumatology workplaces.
