Faculty of Medicine study room

The Faculty of Medicine study room is located in the Faculty’s building at Syllabova 19 in Ostrava-Vítkovice. Full-time students have access to a range of journals; the current and previous year of all journals are always available on-site. Older issues are kept in storage; you can order an issue, which will be made available to you at the periodicals study room of the University Library (at Bráfova 3).

You can use the study room to scan documents (free of charge), or to print/copy documents (for a fee). The study room also has several computers that you can use to view the full texts of books and articles available under licence to users at the University (e-sources). You can also connect your own device using the Eduroam wi-fi network (you will need an Eduroam password – see eduroam.osu.cz). We also offer a “book box” (“knihobox”) service; if you have borrowed books from the lending room at the University Library (Bráfova 3), you can return them by putting them in the book box at the Faculty of Medicine study room.
